Summary: While 13 teams remain in the finals mix, one will go here in what is effectively a sudden-death match. Fremantle rode mighty Matthew Pavlich's six-goal, 30 possession game to beat a woeful Essendon last week and look to be firing at the right time under caretaker coach Mark Harvey. The Saints fail to convince despite some late-season wins, and it's hard to see them making much impact in the finals if they do limp into the top eight. The Dockers also have a good record against the Saints, winning their past four encounters - though none have been in Melbourne.

Key: The Saints need to stop Pavlich and get their own forward structure firing to win and keep their top eight push alive. Nick Riewoldt and Fraser Gehrig must fire or it's curtains for the Saints. Tip - Fremantle by five points.
