Fremantle's Dean Solomon will face the AFL tribunal tomorrow night to learn his fate for his crude elbow on Geelong star Cameron Ling that put the Cat in hospital.
The AFL match review panel has sent Solomon's case straight to the tribunal to determine a penalty and he is facing a hefty stint on the sidelines for striking Ling.
The panel hit Sydney forward Amon Buchanan with a five-match ban and West Coast's Daniel Kerr with four, though both can have their penalties reduced by one match if they plead guilty.
Buchanan was charged with engaging in rough conduct for a heavy shoulder charge to the head of Hawthorn's Luke Hodge during the Swans' 31-point loss at the MCG yesterday.
Kerr has been charged with striking Richmond's Matt White during the Eagles' heavy defeat by the Tigers at Subiaco Oval yesterday.
Other players facing suspension are Fremantle tagger Ryan Crowley and North Melbourne's Daniel Pratt.
Crowley was charged with striking Geelong's Gary Ablett, earning a one-match ban.
Pratt is facing a three-match ban for making unreasonable contact to the face of Port Adelaide's Brett Ebert, though he can have that reduced to two weeks with an early guilty plea.
Melbourne's Colin Sylvia can accept a reprimand for striking Western Bulldog Dale Morris.
Adelaide midfielder Richard Douglas was charged with making contact with an umpire during his side's loss to Collingwood and can accept a $1950 fine.
Several other players have escaped sanction for offences assessed by the match review panel, including Geelong's Cameron Mooney.
Carlton defender Jarrad Waite had his match-day report for striking St Kilda's Clinton Jones in their match on Friday night thrown out.
