Kangaroos coach Dean Laidley is confident the club will bounce back well from last weekend's drubbing by Geelong when they meet Hawthorn in their AFL semi-final at the MCG tomorrow night.
The Roos were thrashed by 106 points by the Cats in a qualifying final, but Laidley says his players are used to responding to challenges.
"They're a very resilient group," he said.
"We've faced a lot of challenges over the past 18 months and they've dusted themselves off and get back up and go again.
"That's been the beauty of this group and I'm sure that they'll bounce back on the weekend."
Laidley said the club had not trained much this week and had also not spent much time reviewing the performance against Geelong, as he wanted his players' entire focus to be on what they needed to do to beat the Hawks.
"You can talk about it as much as you like and you can dissect it, but it's about our actions on the park for those two hours," he said.
"That's what we've prided ourselves on all year and unfortunately that wasn't the case against a very good Geelong side last weekend."
Meanwhile, Laidley said the club was still not sure of the exact nature of an injury to forward Corey Jones' foot and it was possible he might not play again this season.
He said Jones would consult a surgeon today.
"We're still not 100 per cent sure until we sit down with the surgeon," he said.
"He has had a history of trouble with his feet, going back to about 2002, so we'll probably find out a clearer picture if he's available to play further this year or perhaps worse-case scenario does he need an operation." Jones was left out of the side for tomorrow night's match, along with utility Leigh Brown, with youngsters Lachlan Hansen and Ed Lower recalled.
