PORT Adelaide follower Brendon Lade doesn't believe Geelong will risk replacing ruckman Mark Blake with former skipper Steven King.
King was outstanding in Geelong's VFL grand final victory over Coburg last Sunday while Blake had a forgettable game on Friday night as Geelong scraped into the grand final by beating Collingwood.
But Lade believes clubs are usually averse to tampering with a winning combination and would probably stick with Blake, who has averaged 10 disposals and 18 hitouts in his 22 games this season. King has played only five matches this season.
"You ask any club, I don't think they like changing a winning formula too much," Lade said.
He was reluctant to buy into the argument that Blake was substantially the weaker link in Geelong's ruck combination with Brad Ottens.
"I don't think they've got too many weaknesses in their team. I don't think they finish top, three or four games (clear) for nothing," he said.
"When you have got deficiencies in your team it's whether the rest of the team can pick up (and cover) those deficiencies and their team does it better than anyone. We'll just find any crack we can in their side.
"We'll prepare for Blake, we'll prepare for King as well and see what happens. Doesn't bother us (who plays). Dean (Brogan) and myself have got a good combination at the moment. We're playing confident football and willing to take on anyone."
