DUAL Brownlow medallist Robert Harvey will play his 350th game against West Coast at Subiaco Oval tomorrow after joining his teammates in Perth for their final training session yesterday.

Harvey, who flew to Perth on Thursday night on a different flight from the rest of the St Kilda team, hasn't played since injuring his hamstring against Fremantle at Subiaco Oval on May 25.

Only nine men have played 350 VFL/AFL games and Harvey, who will be watched by a large contingent of family, will become the first Saint to pass the 350-game milestone.

While the 35-year-old veteran appears certain to play, doubts remain about another Brownlow medallist.

West Coast captain Chris Judd was given a fitness test on his injured groin during a closed training session yesterday morning.

The Eagles waited until Thursday to announce the gates would be locked for the session after Judd failed to train at Medibank Stadium on Monday and Wednesday.

The 23-year-old struggled with groin pain during West Coast's one-point loss to Essendon in round 11 and spent the final quarter in attack instead of on the ball.

Scans did not show any damage to the groin, but the Eagles were wary about pushing their superstar while the pain continued.

"We expect him to play," West Coast assistant coach Tony Micale said before training.

"It's been very light for a couple of weeks, which won't hurt him because of his workload. Hopefully that'll freshen him up."

The Eagles dropped veteran Rowan Jones to make way for Mark Nicoski to play his first game since round 14 last year.

Ankle and shoulder injuries have kept Nicoski sidelined, despite a brave attempt to prove his fitness for last year's grand final.

Tough defender Beau Waters returned from a rib injury and Jaymie Graham earned a recall after good WAFL form.

Upgraded rookie Chad Jones did not make the cut and was named as an emergency.

Jones was expected to play after 31 goals in five weeks for Claremont had him upgraded from the rookie list on Thursday.

The Eagles have lacked a consistent goalkicker this year with full-forward Quinten Lynch managing only 21 majors, but Micale denied the 24-year-old was under pressure.

"We're really happy with the way Quinten's going," Micale said.

"He's kicked more goals to this point in time compared to last year and he's had something like 16 more scoring shots. There's also other strengths to his game that probably go unnoticed."

St Kilda made three changes with Leigh Fisher and Xavier Clarke joining Harvey in the squad.

Fraser Gehrig could not be considered because of a hand injury while James Gwilt and Brad Howard were dropped.
