WEST Coast coach John Worsfold has demanded answers from his players following a dismal 76-point loss to Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.
"The players have to take more responsibility the way they use the ball; there's no doubt about that," he said. " I have asked them to give me their feedback."
Worsfold blamed the Eagles' poor decision-making and poor use of the ball for the loss. "They stopped us getting any good use of the ball inside 50 and that was a key to the game," he said.
"We certainly didn't start well, but we fought back strongly in the two middle quarters without making an impact on the scoreboard. We then got run over the top in the last quarter."
Adelaide coach Neil Craig poured praise on his young players for their approach tothe game, and especially his more senior players.
"A lot of recognition needs to be given to our senior guys with the attitude that they play with, and that's a great example for our young midfield," he said. "To see the attitude of Bassett, Burton, Goodwin, Edwards, McLeod guys who are getting towards the end of their careers to see the way they go about it, and the attitude they play with, are great role models, great role models, and that was one of the most pleasing things."
Adelaide ruckman-forward Kurt Tippett caused a huge scare when he fell and clutched his left knee during the third quarter, but was able to hobble off the field. It is understood he has only jarred the knee, but will have tests tomorrow.
