Former AFL star Wayne Carey will not appear in court today over a highly publicised incident at his luxury Port Melbourne apartment earlier this year.
Carey, 36, is facing three charges of assaulting police and three counts of resisting arrest following an incident on January 27.
He had been scheduled to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court today for a filing hearing.
However, that hearing is believed to have been adjourned to June 18.
Carey is alleged to have assaulted police at his front door and to have been subdued with capsicum spray after allegedly struggling with officers.
Police had been called to a reported domestic dispute at the apartment Carey shared with girlfriend Kate Neilson.
The former North Melbourne captain also faces two felony charges in the United States of aggravated battery of a police officer and a charge of resisting arrest with violence after an incident at a Miami hotel.
