FOOTAGE of a brawl involving four current and former AFL stars, including Brownlow medallists Michael Voss and Simon Black, at a St Kilda pub emerged yesterday ahead of the men's court appearance next month.

St Kilda forward Fraser Gehrig and former Brisbane and St Kilda defender Steven Lawrence are due to join Voss and Black in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on August 7 to face assault charges over the fight at the Prince of Wales Hotel on grand final eve last year.

Security footage, shown on Channel Nine yesterday, shows Lawrence walk into the bar and strike a man, who falls to the ground, apparently unconscious.

Footage also shows the man Lawrence is alleged to have hit, Jarrod Rouse, 28, of Box Hill, throw a billiard ball during a fracas inside the hotel's bar. He is to appear on July 31 charged with conduct endangering life.

Former Brisbane premiership captain, Brownlow medallist and media personality Voss is shown walking out of the bar and hitting a man on the footpath.

Voss and Gehrig face charges of recklessly causing injury, while Black has been charged with recklessly causing injury and assault by kicking. The three deny the allegations.

Lawrence has been charged with intentionally and recklessly causing injury and two counts of unlawful assault.
