THE Bendigo Bombers will tackle one of the VFL's most one-sided rivalries when they host Sandringham at Windy Hill tomorrow.
Fresh from knocking off 2006 minor premiers the Northern Bullants, the Bombers have the all-conquering Zebras in sight.
An emotional element also will be added, with Adam Ramanauskas playing his first match in two years due to his battle with cancer. Bendigo coach Matthew Knights expected a massive crowd to cheer him on in his return.
"Adam's spirit and desire to get back to playing football has been just amazing. We've all watched his courage first-hand, and it's going to be a pleasure to coach him in his first game back. He'd be looking to play between 60 and 80 minutes. He was one of the game's elite before his illness, and his skills and natural talent will no doubt once again come to the fore."
The Bombers have lost 13 of their past 15 encounters with the Zebras, but Knights was confident. "It's going to be a tough game, but it's a winnable game."
Jason Johnson will return from a toe injury and Scott Camporeale from ankle surgery.
In other matches, Geelong hosts Frankston, Port Melbourne and Box Hill are both desperate to post their first win, while Werribee hosts Coburg. North Ballarat and Tasmania clash, and the Scorpions meet Williamstown.
