Summary Fremantle's two recent nightmares - surrendering to Melbourne after a massive half-time lead and losing to the Western Bulldogs in the last minutes might well have sucked the life out of the club - at least for this season. Carlton, meanwhile, will see this as an opportunity to revive their shaky final-eight hopes. At 3-5 the Blues can add some credibility to their season for the first time in seven years. Matthew Pavlich looms as the Dockers' saviour - but what will save coach Mark Harvey in the long-term if this sort of pain continues? The Blues' young side has held up better than expected and now, led by Nick Stevens and Chris Judd, are lining up as favourites for the first time in quite a while.
Key Brendan Fevola has been in awesome form this year and can win this game off his own boot as long as the Blues' midfield do the job expected of them.
Tip Carlton by 20 points
