About Michael Gleeson
Michael Gleeson has been a journalist for 19 years concentrating on sport for about half of that time. Having worked in Melbourne and London he covered general news, politics and crime for the Herald Sun - including writing a true crime book on the death of a toddler in rural Victoria called the Jaidyn Leskie Murder. He moved across to sport in 2000 and to The Age in 2005. He has won awards for his football and cricket writing and has become a senior member of The Age's sports coverage. He focuses primarily on football and cricket and appears on television with Channel Seven's Game Day and has worked on radio with SEN and the ABC.
